BRIXTON AMAR

Éva has trained and performed over the years in a great number of dance genres & styles and developed a passion for isolation movements. In terms of bellydance, she trained over the last twenty years with many great artists and attended workshops run by masterdancers and teachers, such as Wendy Buonaventura, Lucia Moukhtar, Nermine Azzazy, Hossam and Serena Ramzy, Dr Mo Geddawi, Raqia Hassan, Amy Sigil, Zsolt Farkas, Hungarian multi-awardwinning Roma masterdancer.

In the early 2000s she was a regular feature on the Budapest alternative bellydance scene, performing at birthdays, wedding parties, pubs, private views, laying-of-foundation-stone ceremonies, book launches, club nights, belly dance competition galas, at the biggest music festival of Eastern Europe, Sziget, often to live music provided by Gozara. She had TV and radio appearances.

She was also the London correspondent of Hungary's foremost dance magazine: Táncmüvészet for over 12 years.

She's been teaching for five years, more recently under the name of brixtonamar- the isolation wing. She is also a trained "exercise to music" studio instructor within which genre she developed a Balkan Gypsy keepfit routine.
As an artist, she is currently working on developing fusions for tango & Balkan tunes; and solo performances blending her own poetry with dance.
