We have become a well established community feature in the south-central-London area. Running regular community bellydance classes at the Stockwell YMCA and at the Stockwell Park Estate Community Centre. We are totally committed to raise the fitness level of our local sisters through beginners classes, and introduce as wide an audiance into the mysteries of isolation movements as possible with a thorough and patient groundwork. We mainly use Egyptian tunes for this purpose. From improvers onwards we are on the warpath to dance more, better, with all our hearts. Our dedicated troupe of local divas have been shaking it at local venues and at far-flung haflas. We aim for clarity and precision in technique, absolutely committed to the name and content of bellydancing, but we are open to experimentation and fusion work.
We from time-to-time invite guest teachers to enrich our understanding of different bellydance genres, styles and techniques who often teach us new routines.
